White-crested Runner Duck chick and Long-eared Owl chick.
After the duckling was the sole survivor after being orphaned, the Long Eared Owl chick(who was found injured) was placed adjacent to it in the hopes that a bond, and an end to the ducklings obvious loneliness, would be formed. The duckling and owl formed an instant friendship and refuse to be seperated.
